If you don't think anyone to is to blame then fine. But if you start blaming Green then that's just wrong cuz clearly Cam cost us the game.
It was nice to see Udoka not throwing the towel when there was 13 points difference. "Get up, stand up, never give up the fight".
Jalen had 8 ast he has value on top of scoring which is his playmaking. His teammates bricked a lot of open looks otherwise Jalen would have had a double double this game. If you are hating on Jalen for taking the ball from Alpi like your previous post why do like Cam when he took more shots from Alpi and cost us the game? Just try to be objective in your complaints cuz your posts are all nonsensical.
Cam should start over Tate. He's better on offense and defense trust me he is a better defender and get that bum outta here as soon as possible.
That play shifted the momentum. Green misses the layup and falls down, the floor is unbalanced and Chicago gets a 3 at the other end. I think that was the three that put them ahead if I'm not mistaken. Momentum is real, I stand by my earlier statement. As far as Cam's involvement on subsequent plays, nothing stood out as poor IQ or selfish. On his first miss Cam caught the grenade at the end of the shot clock and missed the 20 footer after the Bulls went all out to stymie Al-P. That's fine, we burned a ton of clock on that possession. The other possession he missed the dunk of after getting a great offensive rebound. Not sure if there was contact or goaltending there but I have no problem with him going for it there. On that final three he was just a bit short, it happens, but he was open and he didn't hesitate.
Yup, if he scored when it was 119-114, it woud be 7 points difference at the OT. He missed, Zach scored+1, 2 points game. That was main moment.
OK so Green was also open and didn't hesitate so why did that shift the momentum but when Cam is not open and not hesitating multiple times how come that didn't shift the momentum? When Cam missed his shots that also resulted in Bulls scores funny how you omit that part.
I feel like when Cam (or Dillon or Tari) is in with Alpi, the lane is open because he trusts them to make the threes that he generates and defenders need to respect that too. I’m not surprised some of his slow starts have come with Jaesean in there because he kills all the spacing and Alpi has to adjust to that. In the second half Alpi not only played like a star..in my opinion that looked like a MVP contender dominating a former all-star in Vuc I honestly really like how the offense is starting to look, besides FVV taking too many shots and still dominating the ball too much at times, he’s willing to cede the ball to Jalen and even Cam once to bring the ball up the court and initiate something. That adds layers to our previously sputtering offense, and once our defense shores up with our two stalwarts returning I hope we keep it up. Jalen is growing, finally. This has been a consistent 10 game stretch or so where I feel like he’s been a good, calm version of himself. Do I wish he was an all-star scorer? Sure I do! But he’s not gonna get there this season (or maybe never). What I like to see is him making good passes, fewer mistakes and looking a little better on those shots. We’re back to him being a polarizing player as opposed to a universally disappointing one, and that’s…fun? Wish we played the whole game with the urgency and decisiveness we showed in the 4th. That’s a 50 win team…but young teams will go through ebbs and flows, and all we can do as fans is to ride the tide
Firstly you're trying to wrongly state what I said! I NEVER said that Jalen lost us the game OR that he was more at fault than anyone else! I just said that his layup attempt was a KEY moment in the game which it was. I know Alpi's missed free throws and Cam's missed shots were a big part of our loss but Alpi does soo much for the team and Cam is a rookie trying to make his mark on the game. He HAS tunnelvision some tmes which is why Ime has not played him a lot at first. NOW if Cam is doing this same thing year 3 then I will have a bigger problem than I do at this time!
Credit is where credit is due. Jalen played a decent game. If he kept playing like this, all the trade thread would be silent pretty soon. That being said, that layup was the momentum shift because we gave up a fast break on the other end. Cam's three point was open look and nobody would blame him for that. Alpi carried us to the OT so we wouldn't even in OT without him. When you were up by 5 points, there was no rush to force that layup, The game lost not mainly because of Jalen, but we started Tate instead of Cam. We had a chance to steal the game, but Jalen blew it. That also a fact.
Cam and Alpi was the reason we even made a comeback on 4th… I don’t care if you’re defending Jalen because he really didn’t deserve the hate this game but you gotta know that many people that are angry at Jalen are the people whom really had a high hopes and expected nothing but an All-Star performances from him so him just have none impactful game seems like a disappointment to them.
Absolutely....love FVV. Won't happen very often. I believe in going with the hot hand....when it comes to shots and I have to pick between someone shooting 37% and 21% from 3 vs. someone stroking it at 50%...I'm going with the 50%. That's just me. Different players step up on different nights.
Dude, the expectations for Green were different. Why are you comparing him to Cam Whitmore? The expectations for him were huge.
