My point wasn't to equate them either. I'm simply saying Tari is as good as or better now than Covington, he just needs a little seasoning. He will be MUCH better then Covington going forward.

Also, a TS of 53% for a spot up guy that never creates or pressures a defense is nothing to brag about.

Fred looks like someone's uncle working in a hardware store.

The news that we are looking for a backup 3/4 makes me think that we will hear some major injury updates about Tari POST deadline.

Given that Dillon, Bari, Tari were all injured at some point, you do not need those updates....

I was thinking that they might put him on injured reserve after the deadline and not before so teams don't think we're desperate to add some depth.

Fans way over-estimate how being desperate affects trades. Stone has proven over time he isn't affected desperation even if it means holding onto a player too long. The Rockets aren't some aging team with limited chances.

I hope not and it's just a smoke screen so teams don't ask for Tari in a trade and make that a sticking point to get one of our most valuable assets out of our hands. If they think he is injured they'll focus on guys they can actually trust to play, like Uncle Jeff.

Or it actually means they realize Tate sucks and need someone to fill in for the 20 mins they give him and that same person being the one the young guys need to earn minutes from.

The minutes restriction for Tari doesn't look like it'll be going away anytime soon either so that plays a part

Tari is needed back ASAP, so I can see some more Kawhi Claw like thievery that he seems to get a handful times per game and relentless energy/energy he provides

This is those nagging injuries that I was hoping they could avoid, but it is what it be

Do we even have any idea what the latest Tari injury is? Feel like they haven't even given any update.

Tari has made himself indispensable. The man is a lot more valuable to the team than many had given him credit. He isn’t a cherry on top of the cake, he is sorely needed to get them to the win column. His energy and tenacity is infectious, and he elevates his teammates.

I think that moving Brooks to the SG and Tari to the SF may be the best Rocket lineup. Leave Green on the bench to see if he can muster up some tenacity. But I’d rather lose Green for nothing in FA, than take on a bad contract.

When he returns this time and they decide to shut him down again, they might as well just sit him for the rest of the season with ~30 games left by the time plays again

If Boban got off the bus not wearing any pants, I would say yes.

You must be young because I see Fred dressed like a preppy kid in a polo, but you don't think the the dude next to him looks like he's wearing a giant mushroom skirt? In any case, all these pics will come back and haunt these dudes in about 15-20 years. Just like all those dudes from the 90s wearing suits that are 10 sizes too large. :D

Please hurry back, Tari. This team needs you and Bari. And even then it may not be enough. lol.

Boy needs to get 100% healthy so he can play, even if it's just 18-20mpg, all the way down the stretch. We need him. Fingers crossed we can get and keep everybody on the court for the last 35 games or so and make a nice push to close out the season.
