Hard pass. The last thing the NFL needs is another team wearing Black alternates. Feels like over half the teams in the league do it now days. Super gimmicky and unoriginal. Texans have a fine color scheme already, just incorporate H-Town Blue and hit on the jerseys and that’ll be all they need.
Think about what you're saying, and then please stop being stupid. Please. You're much more interesting when you talk about actual sports and not your personal life and/or ancient grievances and social politics.
"stallion" is French, btw. So that's obviously out. "toro" is Spanish...ooops "texas" is...well...you know "houston" is scottish, irish and english...that may work except for that all 3 of them have constantly fought each other for the past few centuries Long story short, I'm not sure what's an acceptable name in the non-pagan world
When my great great grandfather left Dublin for the port city of Cobh (I refuse to call it Queenstown) to head to the States, he left from a train station in Dublin that is now called Heuston Station. That’s like poetry to me honestly
I wish the NFL would change the rules about one team having to wear white. The days of black and white tvs are gone. White uniforms are blah.
NFL would never allow it. They’re too similar to the Oilers throwbacks, which Tennessee owns the rights to. Not happening unfortunately.
That won't change with new uniforms. It only changes with winning and it won't matter what uniforms are being worn when that happens. We're already on the road.
I disagree somewhat. It's not everything, but look good, feel good. The Rockets went into a sharp decline when they went with a clown rebrand after another. Most of the NBA teams that were known as garbage teams most of their history found resurgence with a rebrand/new uniforms. Of course they do it at the right time with a star to carry that brand image. Classic teams remain just that, classic and nostalgic and prestigious. Those that had that and rebranded away from classic lost some of that until going back to classic(Denver being a rare example of a team that had a classic winning look but did a drastic rebrand and immediately kept winning SB's and the Texans have that early 2k era design aesthetic similar to the Broncos which looks outdated now and not at all classic). The Texans have 2 decades of losing and being a laughing stock. A window of 5 to even 10 years of contention isn't going to erase that for the brand image. It's already associated with what it's associated with as a whole, league wide and nation wide. The building blocks to a winning culture are starting and now is the time for a full rebrand to a winning image with a rookie superstar player to carry that image. Oilers just happen to have classic nostalgia that is nation wide beloved as an iconic brand despite never really getting it done. It's an easy choice. A full rebrand to a new name and color scheme could hit or miss just as the Texans did which leaves us with rebranding the Texans with a new logo and uniforms that separates itself enough from the laughing stock the OG brand has associated with it.
That’s not all that close IMO. Hannah confirmed they’re bringing back a variation of the “Luv Ya Blue” calling it “H-Town Blue.”
