His best move in tonight's game was the body fake he made during uncle Jeff's missed free throw which ended a bucket in second try.
This is what I had in mind before the season started. This is an Amare-type rookie in terms of violence. I got flamed by the PC-police here for inappropriate language the last time, but IDGAF, I'll say it again: Bagley got violently raped here!
Whitmore is more impactful when he's on the court than Amen. While he's got some growing to do, he's bringing the shooting/scoring punch we need. When Cam and Holiday are both cooking (like last night), that 2nd team is dangerous. Cam is earning himself more minutes and a place in Ime's rotation. Let Brooks and Eason recover fully, and give Cam an opportunity to continue to blossom.
And listen to his interview, if he is believing in those things and not being political we are golden.
The potential flaws people have mentioned about Cam don't really affect a 6th man scorer so right now we don't need to worry about all that. The growing can happen in parallel. Our bench is a bunch of great role players with no scoring leader. When Cam (or anyone off the bench) is cooking, those role players are simply able to play their roles well. They're more open because someone is making the defense collapse. Desperately needed this.
Even Sullivan couldn't stay seated haha. Green/Jabari celebrating the hell out of Cam's dunks as always. Love this team man. The board drives an imaginary wedge between players that - thank god - doesn't actually exist on the team. All the only-fan stuff and all the JalenvsKPJvsCam stuff. That's all imaginary. These guys root for each other. Cam is a guy with trust issues obviously, but it seems like his walls are coming down a little bit these days and he's more comfy in the team dynamic. Good to see.
That's typical for 90% of the NBA players. We are talking about a guy going from the G-league last month to meaningful minutes in the NBA and producing very nice numbers. Well-deserved hype
His confidence, explosiveness on the court is a joy to watch. Gonna go off-topic but Rockets fans have to stop being so critical about their youngesters. We are talking about 19-20-21 year old 'kids'. Just sit back and enjoy the ride , let them reach their potential under Ime.
In general I agree with this, but in reality they have to make decisions as a club because they started their careers so early, we can't afford to keep all of them, and they are getting paid, so all is fair in love and war. DD
