It's time to start thinking about moving Jalen before the deadline

Pretty sure other GMs aren't going to trade much for Jalen at this point. I think Stone's only hope is try to get someone useful off Detroit's roster. Between the Silas connection and them needing to shake things up, you might get someone that can help us with more wins. The problem is they don't have much to offer that they'd be willing to realistically unload.

Yeah I've given completely up on Jalen.

I'm pretty sure I told people 3 years ago what could happen with Jalen Green if he didn't develop the way they were assumingand the exact same thing happened.

 

It’s going to be Jalen for Mathurin straight up. Mathurin is stuck on the bench.

Jalen can strive in that Pacers free flow offense with a good pg, way better than fvv.

That would be a nice trade, not sure Indy would do it after what they say last night.

I think if we were to work with Detroit they may be able to get Ivey on a straight up trade but not sure how much better he would be than Green at this point.

 

Ivey and Green are basically the same player, they belong on the bench of the worst team in the league.

I think the best we can do from Detroit realistically is Green + Oladipo + Jock = Bogdanovic + Wiseman. Not exactly awesome but not quite the poopoo plater either. We would get some much needed outside shooting with Bogdanovic and a look at Wiseman on a nonsucking team. And it would clean up our books a bit.

Where they were drafted does not equal trade value at this point.

 

What hilarious is that Jalen needs to play more minutes to prove himself to Ime but Cam is unproven, raw therefore he can't play. So when it's your guy he needs to get all the chances in the world but if it's someone else he needs to somehow get better at basketball by jerking off at home.

This would make sense. I have seen him party with IG models in Miami.

 

An Ivey/Green trade might benefit both players. Doubtful that such a trade could come together as both teams would have to swallow a lot of pride to make the move.

Green would join a coaching staff that believes in his superstar potential, and Ivey could drive the basket and feed Sengun (something he excelled at in college in the very structured Iowa system).

However, Ivey might cut into minutes for Amen. I don't see how those two would fit together on the court.

I get a strong Corey Brewer vibe from Jalen. I think he'll be in the league for years, but I don't see him getting starter's minutes on a good team.

 

Jalen Green in December: 12 games, 11.7 PPG, 4.3 REB, 2.8 APG, shooting an abysmal 33% from the field and 25% from 3PT.

 

That's really brutal. I wonder what our record would have been if his minutes were replaced by a league average starter.

What do we have to add to get Ausar for Jalen? Is this year's brooklyn pick enough?
