Is Hamas in the West Bank as well? You want me to start pulling evidence of Israeli massacres in non-Hamas run areas of Palestine? You’ve all but admitted that you want to wipe the Palestinians off the face of the earth. Again, not surprising knowing where you descended from.
As a war strategy, it makes no sense for Hamas to just "build a military base" without any means to defend it or deter attacks against it. The argument should be that Hamas simply stop waging war in the only way they can. That isn't taking their side. It is taking the side of civilians who are being killed by this insanity.
What do you believe Israel should have done in response to Oct 7th and Hamas stating they would continuing doing those types of attacks until every Israeli is dead? I'm curious how you think Israel should have responded.
Palestinians were under no moral obligation to leave their homeland to make way for a Jewish state. Even Ben-Gurion recognized this.
If someone knocks on your door and says that their great, great, great, great grandfather used to live there, does he have a right to kick you out? Jewish people had a right to legally immigrate into Palestine during the British mandate period (many thousands illegally immigrated, to both the consternation of the local Arabs and the British). Jewish people had a right to acquire land through legal means. They had a right to offer compensation to the local population to compel them to leave. These were all strategies employed by the Zionist movement; all legitimate. However, use of force to transfer the locals was absolutely never their right, even though Zionists in that period (and today) also argued that this needed to happen. Historical claims from ages past, not to mention religious claims, do not change any of this.
I dispute any historical claim. There has not been an Israel or people called Israelis living in that geography for thousands of years prior to the fall of the British Palestine. We went through the whole Iron Age without there being an Israel. Israel as a modern creation is wholly because of Zionism. It would be like the modern Greeks reclaiming Constantinople. Or Germans Konigberg. Peoples migrate. In the Bronze Age and lesser extent Iron Age, entire peoples were forcibly relocated or exterminated at the whims of a more poweful adversary. Israel, Judea, Philistia, Assyria, and Babylon no longer exist even if people can claim direct lineage from those powers. But the big caveat here is that the Jews who did migrate during Palestine over the first 50 years of the twentieth century declared themselves rulers of themselves and restored the namesake of Israel due to religion. But it’s not the same Israel despite being in the same geographical territory any more than modern Iran is the same ancient Persia that freed the Jews from Babylonian subjugation. this is why I dream of a single state; neither Israel nor Palestine, but the more inclusive Canaan.
If you're responding to who I think you're responding to (and I blocked him since he's not interested in honest discussion) he won't say. He has no interest in answering what he thinks Israel should've done after October 7 because he ultimately doesn't believe Israel should exist and doesn't have a right to take military action against Palestinians. He's dropped a few kernels that indicate this, but it's frustrating because this is an anonymous forum. He should feel free to say what he really thinks about Israel, but instead plays this annoying game.
Did I say Palestinians weren't getting killed? I said a bunch of innocent people on both sides were getting killed because of voices from God and burning bushes.
Many of the Muslims want to eradicate the Jews, like they did in almost every country where they are in the majority. That's why the Jews need their own state.
