Are we able to turn off automatically loading embedded media like Twitter and instagram and instead show it as the regular link in user options. The D&D is overwhelming just random embedded tweets or IG posts and not that I don’t do it as well but I also don’t care to read every Twitter or IG hot take. I will go to the link as needed as would be done with stories.
I'm betting the software doesn't support that, but I'd be down. I'd like the discussion here to be about what the posters here think, and not just regurgitations of what they read. I think there is too much sharing of articles, tweets, and videos now and not enough conversating.
If you use the Brave browser, you can disable embedded social media posts in websites. But it will be for all sites, not just CF. You could just use Brave for CF and another browser for other sites.
I've never even blocked anyone, but reading the GARM lately, I am really lusting for a crowd ban on one particular poster.
I use Firefox for mobile. If you turn on enhanced tracking protection, the embedded tweets don't load.
