Let's flex the Texans into primetime

We do like them noon games so I’m all for it. Also I think this might be a tester to see any of our upcoming games get flexed.

 

Is it just me, but I don't think that's how this is supposed to work.

 

Saw this posted on Reddit. Makes sense and I agree. “For those wondering, it's because the other 1pm games aren't good while the afternoon slot has 49ers vs Eagles. Gives more eyes on the Texans game.”

 

CBS noon slate for week 13 is hot garbage. So I think they actually did flex us to noon to help boost ratings, especially now that Denver is in the hunt -- I'm assuming we are going to be their premiere/national broadcast with most of the other games getting regional coverage.

Fox has 49ers/Eagles at 3:25 so no competing with that.

 

Texans/Panthers was a no brainer Thursday night game. Even if both teams were garbage, people would've tuned in to see the first two picks square off.

Just to aggravate yall, they should flex a game 2 weeks from now into 7am in Barcelona, Spain.

 

I'd love it. But I am an extreme minority. Not many are starting their day at midnight.

 

Take Rodgers out of the equation...he's looking at a return vs Washington on the 24th.

Texans, and the AFC south, not quite ready for the marquee spotlight.

As important as today’s game is… they’re deservedly getting CBS’ 4th PBP team (and coverage) based on the rest of the schedule.

The AFC south also will always have an inherent market disadvantage vs. the other divisions… it is what it is, but being in a division with 3 smaller cities that don’t have the 3 major sports teams is a detractor.

 

There are ONLY TWO Major Sports.

 

Um, there are 5. Football, basketball, baseball. Soccer and Hockey are the other 2.
MLS is closing in on 30 teams with new stadiums being built specifically for them. Of course globally, Soccer is #1

 

I don't define Major the way you do.

 

They will likely keep them all... mainly because of their opponents.

 

Guess they milked the Taylor Swift appearances for all they were worth...

hope they do it for the christmas eve night game too in week 16 and that trash game that's currently set up

 

And yet we've been subjected to the horrendous JETS for every primetime, 3pm national game, or holiday game known to man.

Hopefully the Rodgers injury exemple gives the NFL additional ability to change the schedule even earlier than weeks 12-17. Its a short enough season as it is. After he got injured, those were useless games.
