Fred VanVleet will be the worst FA acquisition in Rockets history

I can't believe there are still people trying to argue that we would have been better off with KPJ or Harden.

 

KPJ yes Harden no. KPJ would've been real nice coming off the bench the last couple of games.

 

Except Embiid is having a better season now than last year.

KPJ is a head case unfortunately- always has been. This team dodged a bullet, as unfortunate as that is to say. It was just a matter of time before another blow up. Wishing him well nonetheless.

He's literally not... His efficiency was significantly higher with Harden and this season? You mean 5 games? LOL... Embiid likely will never have another season as efficient scoring at that volume again in his career.

 

5 games is all that's been played. Embiids efficiency may be down but his assists are way up so yeah he is having a better season than last year.

Sixers are also having a better start than last year they are now 4-1

 

Didn't like the shot selection from FVV, 7-22 with 21 points is less than ideal, especially when most of those FGA are pull-up 3s and driving into two+ dudes for a circus finish.

Sneakly had a worse game than Jalen, but both did very well finding shooters and cutters.

 

There was no choice since nobody could score during the drought. Even Brooks was missing gimme layups.

Regardless FVV is making up with his playmaking and defense and 3 pt sniping where he is 39% on 8 attempts a night.

So far out of the free agents FVV, Brooks and Jeff Green have been great signings. Reggie Bullock and Landale have been beyond terrible though, so good thing they can be dumped at season end if they continue to suck.

 

Exactly which is what makes it silly to make that claim, but even worse cuz his numbers literally aren't better... His scoring efficiency is the area that Harden could impact and he's significantly less efficient than he was last season..... Harden helped him have his most efficient and highest scoring season in one by getting him the easiest buckets he's ever had.... Last season he was at 65% true shooting for the season while averaging 33ppg... That's ridiculous.... He was essentially averaging 3 more pts on less FGA than he's averaging right now... Harden was leading the league in assists so it's not unusual for Embiid's to go up, but it'll likely come down some, but... Joel averaging more assists at the moment has nothing to do with him being better... He's still the same passer and that's the weakest aspect of his game that he hasn't improved on from last year.

 

He is not the Worst but by Far not the Best One.

FVV is a mini CP3. He just leads. What I like is he calms things down & is efficient in his shot selection. I knew he'd be a great acquisition just by the fact his demeanor. This was another FANTASTIC signing by Rafael Stone
