Trading Jabari for him wouldn't make much sense, since we already have a bunch of guards/wings and Cam Whitmore can't even find any minutes right now. Trading Jalen would arguably be an overpay, but also, I think he still profiles as a better shooter, and we need shooting more than we need defense and playmaking right now.
Amen has the problem I did when I used to play little league soccer. I was so fast I didn't want to kick the ball I just wanted to run past it all the time lol. Amen is too athletic for the rock he either has to slow down his pace a bit (which seems like he kind of did in game 3) or he has to speed up his handle.
neither one can shoot a lick Ausur not even getting guarded on the perimeter…they are spacing killers doesn’t matter for the Rockets right now because we’re not competing for anything significant
If Amen can fix his shot Amen if he can't then Ausar. I'd take Ausar in re-draft since he is more NBA ready and fixing your shot isn't guaranteed.
Haven’t got to watch Ausur yet but his defensive numbers would seem to bode well for Amen. Maybe Lamar Odom/AK47 could be reasonable comps for their upside?
That Pistons squad needs all the good news it can get. Curious about the Thunder as well as the Magic. We're the only team of the rebuilds that went out and got actual grown ups. But also the only team of the rebuilds with a city Dillon Brooks, FVV and Ime Udoka would want to live in.
Note that I had Ausar well ahead of Amen pre-draft. If you subscribe to Kevin O'Conner's school of scouting, then Amen was the better pick.
Really getting the same vibes as the morris draft. Ausar has a defined role, a traditional wing that can defend with ok playmaking as a bonus. Amen is a weird pseudo point guard that has no guard skills besides passing
Fixing a shot is no easy task. Heck some fellas can’t even fix their free throw’s. Therefore they psychology of shooting while being defended is a true hurdle that isn’t overcome without real mental milestones. But at this point Amen seems like he is not as far along as his brother.
