Pulling Brown was Dusty’s fatal mistake today. After that damage was done, not PH Diaz for Maldanotdo with 2 on and 1 out down by 6 was just incomprehensible. As for the off-season - We need to trade Tucker. I can’t see paying him $300M after this disappearing act. He posted empty stats all year. Not clutch. Need another quality SP or two also - after JV they are all shaky. We could have signed home town boy Eovoldi cheap last offseason. Instead we gave Montero & Abreu $100M. And he kicked our ass.

I like players who get better with experience and don't fold under pressure. Alvarez has been awesome while others have folded under pressure the entire playoffs. Give the man the respect he deserves!
As much as it sucks to have the season end on a loss, I'm never going to b**ch and moan about making to a 7th consecutive ALCS, while already having 2 rings. Yeah, another would be great...but this run ain't over and, regardless of who the manager and the starting catcher is next season, I trust that Altuve, Bregman, Alvarez, Abreu (both of them), Tucker, Valdez, Verlander, etc., etc., will have us back in this position again next year. I trust that a full offseason for Dana Brown will lead to some improvements where needed. Any one betting against the Astros in 2024 is a fool.
