Texas would have to lose 3 of 4 while the Astros sweep as the Astros are 3 back in the loss column. Astros can only win the division by sweeping Arizona, as the only other scenario is an 89-73 three way tie that we lose to Seattle. However, Astros win a WC in that event. Astros just need to win the first two games in Arizona and they are in the playoffs.

Yeah, Rangers winning is probably what we want.
Because the MLB playoff format is so dumb, the 6th seed playing the Twins is much more favorable than being a 5 seed and playing either TB or Baltimore. Hopefully Toronto doesn't lose too many games and the Astros end up as the 5 seed.
What's interesting is there's still a chance Astros jump the Jays which then results in TB/Orioles side
To be fair, we have our fair share of idiots down here, and let's not get started with Florida. I hate politics btw.
Yep the Blue Jays all of a sudden is back in questionable position. Especially if they get swept by the Yankees tomorrow. Then dealing with the Rays still trying to win the division.
What’s even crazier is the season would be all but over had they lost tonight. One of the biggest regular season wins in years.
At this point go Rangers. Go Blue Jays. Let's beat Minnesota, they haven't won a playoff series since the Ford Administration. Then we get the Rangers, and I guarantee you we will not lose to the Rangers. ALCS #7 in a row if we get the 3rd WC.
Framber Javier Verlander Are lined up for Minnesota, if we end up the 6 seed. Or if by some miracle we clinch on Friday: Verlander Framber Javier
i started watching the Astros partially because Correa told the earth to "shut the **** up" on live television. That's next level trash talk i hadn't seen in other sport. i love dishing out slander and then backing it up.
I'm already seeing people using the Neris incident to make the Astros and our fanbase into the villains again. It's not as if this team has thrived in the villain role for years now.
It's probably too long of a shot to win the division, but the extra rest and playing the winner of Minnesota and whatever WC team would be nice. On the other hand, the Astros play better on the road this year, but that's just so much baseball for a tired team. Any playoff success would be a pleasant surprise.
