This obsession that Maton and Montero are fire extinguishers when trouble brews has backfired too many times. And Dusty keeps touching the stove. One more shot tomorrow.
I hope whoever threw that baseball at Kirby isn't an Astros fan. What a pathetic display by whatever ******* did that. Not a good look for any sport.
There’s No way they should be playing this badly and I’m sure the lack of focus isn’t just with the players.
Abreu comes up small again with multiple men on base. Why the **** does this chump get to bat FIFTH every night? What the hell.

Fine way to in the evening. Yet another weak ground out by Abreu with runners on base. Good night people.
Not eligible because he was added after the Aug 31st deadline. But if there's an injury, can he be added or has to be a player that was with the team before Aug 31st?
He should have gone after more pitching - a reliever and/or starter. The problem is the starters he could have gotten have by and large been bad once traded, so we likely wouldn’t be much better in the rotation. In the pen we can argue that he should have completed the Brooks Raley trade with the Mets because we would have him this year and next. That may have spared us Maton and Montero and maybe we would have a win or two more. However we all know Raley isn’t always great. At the end of the day, losing Verlander for half the year and McCullers and Garcia for the season was the straw that broke the Astros back - coupled with a complete lack of focus and execution on the field. If I were Jim Crane, I would be concerned about why my team isn’t executing and why I have players like Sousa and Maton and Montero struggling and used in big spots.
