    So the team is definitely spiraling. Jordan Lyles 5 scoreless innings? That proves it. The Astros are too tight. Paralyzed . They aren’t gonna make the playoffs.

    It's not just Dusty. i mean the whole team has not shown the killer instinct all season.

    Even in recent years they really haven't been the type of team to "turn it on". Maybe that 2020 team in the playoffs, but even that was more other teams playing poorly, and Astros minimizing mistakes other than those 2 games vs the Rays.

    I'm also wondering if Yuli was a bigger lower room influence than we realize.

    Wouldn’t be surprising if Jimmy and Jeff bought him back. :rolleyes: (or told him it’s your call, do you want to come back or not. Where James Click rightly rejected and was probably insulted by the one year offer, Johnnie doesn’t mind the one-year deals. He most likely ain’t getting hired anywhere else.)

    (Dana, does anyone know what he does, good or bad?)

    losing to the worst teams in the league once or twice is "any given day"

    losing multiple games to the worst teams in the league is not a coincidence. continue to play like this and they're not a playoff team next season either.
