He looks so tiny in that picture, and the helmet looks like a kid wearing an adult helmet. It looks so big on his head. It doesn't even look real.
You could clearly see that, when they wanted to do QB sneak, Young left and Andy Dalton entered the field, they clearly wanted to do it in a 4th and 1 play, so Dalton went in, at the end, they didnt do it, because there was a false start by an OL, so they had to punt the next play on 4th and 6.
For a guy thought to be an elite processor and a quick thinker, his reads are slow and he also lined up behind the wrong o linemen last night lol
lol wut Frank Reich: Andy Dalton taking short-yardage reps can limit rookie Bryce Young's 'exposure' "There's a lot of different things we could do, but I just feel very comfortable in Andy," Reich said on Tuesday, via the team's official website. "And some of those things you just want to limit the exposure of Bryce to -- and Bryce can do any of it, but you've got an experienced veteran. "There's no golden rule that says he can't come in and play a couple plays in the game. I mean, look at what the Saints do. I know Taysom Hill's a different story. But why not do that to a lesser extent if it can be utilized in a positive way?"
Bryce is not even all that mechanically sound. His dropback is one of the worst I've ever seen - clunky vs a nice fluid motion like CJ (and even AR to a lesser degree) has coming out of the snap. The size limitations shouldn't surprise anyone, but if he doesn't clean up his mechanics he's going to bust before his rookie deal is up.
Young literally looks like a child in this picture. How did teams ignore his diminutive size. It’s more than just his height. He’s just a tiny dude.
He popped up with an ankle injury yesterday. I was reading the panthers sbnation blog and the comments were pretty awesome to read with their postgame and game thread Monday night but someone theorized that the panthers have might just added Bryce to the injury report so they can have an excuse to play Dalton on a short week
He better not take a step back. He won’t be able to observe over the other players on the sideline if he steps back.
As much as I wanted Bryce - can you imagine being Caserio right now if we had the top pick and the exact scenario happened here on top of the other injuries....whew plus CJ putting up very good showings and numbers on another team at that - sometimes it's better be to be lucky than good as they say
