Porter, 23, is accused of repeatedly punching his 26-year-old girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick, in the face and choking her until she couldn’t breathe inside their room at the four-star Millennium Hilton New York Hotel in Midtown early Monday, according to a criminal complaint. The savage beatdown allegedly only stopped when Gondrezick — a former WNBA player – fled the room and was found bloodied and bruised by hotel employees in the hall, prosecutors said during Porter’s arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court. The pro baller, whose full name is Bryan Kevin Porter Jr., was arrested at about 6.30 a.m. Monday and charged with assault and strangulation after cops received a 911 call about the alleged attack. His girlfriend told officers that Porter had struck her with a closed fist multiple times — leaving her with an inches-long gash above her right eye, prosecutors said. The hoopster then allegedly “forcefully” squeezed Gondrezick’s neck with his hands, “causing her to experience difficulty breathing, redness and bruising to her neck, and substantial pain,” the complaint charges. The alleged assault on Gondrezick took place after the couple had gone out Sunday night and later returned to the hotel, police sources have said. As said, the NBA will only investigate and know more of those gory details, better handle it swiftly. That is a massacre. Cannot really find words for that. As an observer that is heart breaking for the woman.

A broken neck is an insane injury to suffer by the hands of one's supposed loved one. Thank heaven Kysre managed to escape that nightmarish night. with her life.
I think ignoring the root problem is just going to perpetuate the issue. The man clearly needs medication. If you get drunk and kill someone, it doesn't mean you're a murderer. There's an element of tragedy on both sides. Get him off the streets, on some meds, and getting therapy... Sending him up to sing sing isn't going to make him less violent...
Damn....I try not to judge, but man KPJ comes across as a freaking nut job here and he will do serious jail time if this is all true. His professional career is likely over in that case too. This not the average male celebrity hitting "his" girl / woman. This could be attempted murder. If she turns out to be paralyzed, then KPJ has to do a lot of repentance if he ever wants to get on people's good side again.
