Have not checked the rotation yet, but I would like to see Verlander (who the 2023 Mariners haven't seen yet) get one start in that series. Same with Framber now that he's found it again.
So why isn't Diaz catching? Is it because Maldy "hits" LHP? At least my lineup prediction was pretty close...forgot how much Dusty loves Maldy against LHP.
OPS Vs LHPs last 3 years, this year Maldy 0.756, 0.882 Bregman 0.743, 717 He's no Chas, but that's mighty fine for a catcher.
My dream is that one day all of Brantley, Yordan, Diaz and McCormick are in the lineup. Thought Diaz had been catching Brown
While I want that lineup every postseason game, I do place value in giving guys regular playing time. Bench players just need to be put in the best place they can succeed.
Not that Dusty care but that mother****er is trolling Astros fans big time. So hard to like him anymore Please win a WS so I can tolerate his ass coming back next year. I don’t think he will retire after this year, win or lose.
Not only has he performed better hitting 2nd both years He is 7 for 16 since being moved back there, probably not the best time to move him out
Overall it's a good lineup But with Brantley history against him, Diaz being better vs RHP and Snell being a guy you MUST have patience against I would have preferred Brantley tonight and Diaz one of the next two But it's definitely a strong lineup, and IF there is anything to the not hitting at home stuff, Diaz and Chas are BY FAR the best two at home this year
To be fair, Maldy does have an 800+ OPS against LHP this year, and while it's never been this high, he has always held his own vs LHP He should never face RHP but I don't have an issue with him being in there tonight against Snell
