What an incredible performance by Framber! The 16th no-hitter since we started as the Colt-45's in 1962. The most in baseball by any team during that stretch, 1962-2023. Crazy! Saw that stat on TV earlier. I went to games with my Dad in '62, when the Dome was a hole in the ground and the mosquitos almost carried you away.

It's great that we traded for Verlander. I need to drive to Houston for some games.

As I stare into the sturgeon super-moon, I can say without doubt that this was a good day to be an Astros fan. Good job, fellers.

Framber made 'em somber last night. A no-hitter!

Of course he did. Everyone knows Maldy's pitch selection suggestions make up for his lack of offense and ability to stop balls and throw out runners.

It's about damn time MLB polished our knobs. It's not like Shohei gets his own highlights package every time he wipes his ass.

WTF? Both have been around at least 60 years longer than us.

Framber reminding people who the ace is, just in case they forgot.

His curveball was sharp AF. After the first time through, they clearly changed up their approach to swing early instead of letting Framber get ahead after a bunch of K's. It was just one lazy ground ball after the other once that happened.

    Completely dominant

What a night! Framber was awesome… and we pick up a guy named Verlander.
    Solid 1-2 going forward

When Frambers curve is on…. Good luck.

Two balls that go two directions and look the same out of the hand. Gross

I'm pretty sure all those teams have about double the amount of games Astros have played since Astros didn't come around until the 60s

Yep. A gentle reminder why elite pitchers... with elite pitches... are just that valuable in this game. Made these guys look like little leaguers.

Fans didn't even bat an eye that it was only a 2 run game in the 9th inning... those 2 runs seemed like 15 with the way he was going.

As I said earlier this season when everybody was raising the white flags... pitching is everything.

Since I don’t get to see the Stros regular seasons games much it was great waking up to this.

What a great 24 hours for the Stros!

Regardless of his lack of production at the plate there’s a clear relationship between the aces and him. Which is nothing new. If it works for them, well that’s the only thing that actually matters. It is what it is.

    Hmmmm by playoffs 2024...

    Verlander
    Valdez
    Javier
    Mccullers
    Urquidy
    Brown
    Garcia
    France

Seems like we could be selling pitching a year from now to replenish the farm system....

Maybe keep building up France and trade him to the Mets for a couple of prospects....

    ;)

I have to say, yesterday was one of my favorite regular season Astro days ever.
