how come when I post redundant threads they get locked???? SILAS HOW COME YOU'RE FAVORING DONGRAHAMLEONE????
Trying to see this from Cam's perspective, he was probably at first disappointed, but later motivated by falling to #20. Motivated enough to be Summer League MVP. This guy has a chip on his shoulder and now has cred to back it up. Look for this man to be on fire come regular season.
This is why I was mad when we drafted Amen over Cam and was happier than a hog in $hit when we got him at #20! Congratulations Cam!!
He's already been crowned ...the summer league mvp. That's it. I think most folks understand that is what it is. The thing that excites me about what we've seen is he's a high-motor guy, is fully committed on defense, is strong, and can finish at the rim. He only shot 30% from 3 but every time I watched, at key moments he drilled key shots. The only thing I'm confident about at this point is the Rockets won't cut him. Everything else is still TBD.
He's the "best" among all who did play a several games. That means something especially when he doesn't have a say on who plays and who doesn't.
…one of the youngest players in the draft, kind of a quiet low key guy, broke a leg in high school, twisted an ankle, injured a finger. Add that to everything you are seeing on the court(elite athleticism, the ability to overpower guys at the rim, great defensive instincts) and the low lights of him not being a great passer or his outside shooting being okay but not great(note he started the year recovering from the finger injury and appeared to become a better shooter as the season went on) and….it’s hard to believe he fell as far as he did. Did anyone catch what the supposed health concern were that teams passed on him for? That information above couldn’t have been serious enough for him to fall that hard? I’m seriously wondering why no one else grabbed this kid.
I don't get the reluctance to go all in on this guy. He was a top 10 coming out if high school LAST year. He played and started in one of the hardest NCAABB conferences. He's 6'7" is athletic and passes the eye test with flying colors. He looks like a future big guard and I want a big guard. Lu Dort type won't just be able to out body him in the playoffs. He's already demonstrating the ability to learn . . . the tunnel vision was replaced last game with some really nice dishes off the drive. We're not going to win a championship this year. Cam has potential from my perspective to be a top ten player in the league IMHO. He's already a true basketball player and not just some freak athlete that can fly around. Put him in the rotation this year. Let him come off the bench and be a pesky defender while he's learning offense against the best. If we need to send someone to the G-leagure, I think Amen is way less polished than Cam.
How come no one has mentioned that Jabari Smith made the 2nd team Summer League playing in just two game???

Your unnecessary threads lack nuance. Mine only seem unnecessary to the uninformed. Plus he changed the title of his thread and he knows it. It used to have a question mark in the title. Get your facts straight, Donald T.
