While I was listening to 97.5 FM this morning, they brought up a very interesting question, who has the best young talent....Rockets or Texans? Keep in mind, the Rockets have a smaller roster but based upon where they are, I think both franchises have turned the corner. However, if I was to chose right now, I would say its the Rockets. What say you?
I trust the Rockets a lot more. Texans have and always be a bottom tier organization. The Rockets had a 3 year blip but will be back in relevance soon. The Texans tanked when they didn't have a first round draft pick. That's how incompetent they are.
I’m not gonna lie, I think we drafted CJ Stroud? I don’t know another single person on the team off the top of my head… half the games last season I had on the TV but basically didn’t pay attention.
This isn't even close. The Rockets have 4-5 players that people can reasonably believe have star ceilings. The Texans also has 4-5 such players... except football roster size is 53 vs 13 and you can't play offense and defense at the same time. Football roster building is totally different from basketball where QB and capable depth across other positions are much more important than just pure star talent at really any positions needed in the NBA.
Texans are garbage until proven otherwise. The org is more incompetent and have been sht for years. If given time, if u search up sht franchise poorly run franchise it would be up there with the browns and lions
@FTW Rockets FTW get this egg ball discussion off of GARM. It's clearly the Rockets that have better young talent. Rockets could have no first rounders on the team and they'd still be better than unathletic egg ball players just look at JJ Fatt
The Rockets were a business decision from the league office coin flip away from doing the same a few years back.
From a “talent” perspective it’s the rockets. A higher percentage of the team is composed of high draft picks deemed to be more talented than lower picks. From on overall perspective I feel like the rockets are a year ahead in the process. really like the Texans direction though and agree they are both on the right track. ultimately both teams might never reach the potential of their talent buts it’s exciting to think about once again.
I believe the Rockets have more (all pro) talent but both teams are EXACTLY at the same point in their rebuilds
Both teams have new coaches that are exciting. Young players on both with potential. It's gotta be the Rockets, though. The AFC is stacked with QB talent and it's the most important position. We don't know how good Stroud will be yet.
