lol, yes clearly he will never be a good player unless he is at least 7 foot. It is tragic he may not grow that extra 1 inch and may be doomed to suck forever.

I actually prefer him at that height. He's not 7 foot, but he is just the right height to still be able to have guard-like skills.

Yes, Wemby will block more shots, but he will NEVER be as skilled as Alpi. That includes dribbling, three-point shooting, dunking, post defense (yes! Alpi has a much more solid base), and, most of all, passing.

Wemby looks like a slightly more skilled Shawn Bradley.

Wemby has a target on his back. He will get dunked on every game.

Plus, he gives off douchebag vibes.

Wemby looked bad in the paint on offense. I was waiting for him to just rise up and dunk on those children. His game in the paint was weak. Not in France anymore.

Usually you are reasonable in your Sengun love, and I know some of what you say is tongue in cheek, but this is lazy and silly analysis after one summer league game. You are better than this.

I'm taking a bet with you that Alpi will be better than Wemby in every single statistical category except blocks per 36 in 2023-2024.

    Every single one.

NEVER? I'm pretty worried that you might eat these words. I love the passion for the Rockets though.

I agree. That does not make Wemby a bust. I don’t think he is going to be all that great either, but I’m not going to call the guy a bust douchebag after one SL game. Just like Sengun if he doesn’t develop a better outside shot, then he will not live up to his potential. If he can stay healthy (that’s a big if), I think he will be a meaningful player by year 3.

@AroundTheWorld once told me he’s not sure if he’d trade Sengun for Luka straight up. That should be all we need to know about how high he is on Sengun lol

I didn't say he was going to be a bust...I am just convinced that Sengun is much better.

I said what you said is correct. I said one would have to consider it. But Alpi's ceiling is Jokic. I wouldn't trade Jokic for Doncic.

The only thing really stopping me being all in on Alpi is waiting for our next jersey change. I can’t bring myself to purchase a horrific block letters 28.

(That green and gold one though)

    DEAL.

And why would one care about editing? So long as one does not say anything stupid or can admit when one was wrong....what is the point? For the sake of the team we all love(hopefully), I sincerely hope you win the bet!

28 has always been my favourite number, by the way...
