We had a good amount of talent and top picks in that game so it makes sense it wouldn't be as good, but man this is poor offense lol.
i still think about that Green/Cade summer league game.. sweet gawd that was electric. i really wish Silas didnt nerf Jalen's talent his rookie year.
I'm glad Wemby made that three or else ESPN would barely have anything for his highlight reel tonight.
Finished with 9 points. Four came on one play. Seriously, though, I wonder if they're going to talk to him about putting the ball on the floor so much because he was getting swiped or disrupted a lot. But if it's the first game, he's got many more to come. I'm sure he'll be adjusting things along the way.
He'll need to develop on offense, but he should help win games based on his defense alone. Perhaps more post-ups when he gets adjusted to the power of NBA bigs. He needs good guard play to make things easier as well.
I haven't seen any elite basketball player who's afraid of contact, and this wembanyama kid is afraid of contact more than I am afraid of watching KPJ play point guard again. It's written bust all over him.
hater glasses off i think he did ok. he's trying too hard to get his scrub teammates involved and they just keep missing lol he better have thick skin tho because insane hype can also create insane backlash
Summer league games are glorified G-League games with poor defense usually. However, things like vision and decision making and toughness tend to cross over. Amen and Scoot have the vision and decision making that you want to see. Whitmore’s decision making was atrocious. But Wembenyama looked timid to the point of almost being scared out there. That should improve but he looks charmin soft and should prob rethink the whole ‘I don’t need to get bigger’ stance
I see nearly the entire Rockets team at the summer league but don't see Dillon Brooks, anyone spot him?
Don't think he was there. I saw FVV, Alpi, Jalen, Tate, KPJ, and Landale. Funny how almost nobody said hi to Landale though lol.
