Funny, now Harden will canvass the trade market.

Who are the young guns in Toronto, they had one special young guy who played like dog poop in his second year in Barnes.

And when they turn FVV's age, their contract's will be vastly more. It's how the CBA is setup.

    So so spot on.

BTW - I believe KPJ is better than FVV and will ultimately be proven to be true....but will cheer for FVV as long as he is a Rocket.

Maybe with KPJ, but I don’t think anyone else has a reason to feel slighted just yet. My guess is guys like Jabari, Jalen, and Sengun are quite excited to start the season knowing the team is serious about winning now and their minutes will hopefully be more meaningful.

Just my opinion, but considering Kyrie’s history, I think we have a much better situation. Kyrie is a better individual player, but I’m confident FVV is a better fit for our team. He’s also a couple years younger.

KPJ already has better scoring potential and advantage that he is much taller.

43 million for a baby sitter.

I wish the poor people of the world would benefit from that....oh wait.

So do Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore play a good chunk of the season in the Valley? Unless we move some players (Porter, Martin, Tate)...

During TOR championship run, Lowry was the leader of that squad, and Kawhi was the best player, FFV was great for his role, I just confused on why Twitter has declared as a culture setter when you look at the previous seasons in TOR, they weren’t some team punching above their weight like the Heat this year.

You are right that they are different players and the Mavs are a West Top 6 contender while the Rockets are a Play In contender if everything goes right.

Amen will play like Anfernee Hardaway while FVV is just a homeless version of Jalen Brunson.

This is a huge win. Too bad about the 3rd year but the Rockets aren't going to have long term cap room with all these youngs guys hitting for their deals in the years to come anyway. So might as well spend it before it goes bust anyway.

Ime Udoka has left his footprint on this team. By killing the return of Harden, and instead brining in FVV - a hard noses, tough defensive and offensive facilitator, the Rockets have gone from an unstructured mess to becoming a structured thing of beauty.

Some fans may never appreciate FVV because they only look at stat lines. But for those who watch the games, it is going to be night and day.

argurably the 3rd best player on the market after kyrie and harden. and you can't just sit on cap money, have to spend it anyway. what would yall rather have done

Let’s move some players, then. If Porter is good being a backup wing, that’d be great 2- I think he’d be elite at it (off guard off the bench). I worry he will want to be too ball dominant in a 2nd unit that should be Thompson’s to run.

Tate was Silas’ culture guy. With FVV (and maybe more?) he’s not needed.

I can see Kyrie who voluntarily missed large swathes of nba season due to

    Unspecified Sabbatical.
"Doing his own research" on vaccine efficacy
    Tweeting about Holocaust denial

    And tons of injuries

Having.. in a vacuum.. to take less $ than FVV. He's better on the court but ... yeah all the rest

You get paid for your production, not age. Trade value you have to factor in age.

Precious, Joe, and Koloko are all still only 23.

Gary Trent is only 24, which are all still fairly young by NBA standards.

I mean, we turn down Harden to overpay for FVV? That's just plain stupid. Our front office is on crack.
