Indeed, especially hearing how allegedly Smith/Green/Sengun love to hoop, even KPJ regardless of the media creative narratives, they are gym rats, with a sprinkle of social media to keep it somewhat balanced

Zion is young and is enjoying having way more money than he probably deserves to be getting. He knows as long as he shows that he's committed and gets in shape that teams will want him and he'll get paid.

With that being said, the Rockets would still be insane to trade for him, although it wouldn't be possible since the only way the Pelicans even consider trading Zion to the Rockets is if Scoot falls to #4.

The league may need to reconsider allowing players to make THAT much so soon without having done anything in the league. He's hardly played. Starting at a young age, kids dream of going to the NBA. Not just for basketball, but mainly for the millions NBA players make. At just 22 he's making what most NBA players currently in the league hope to make.

The downside of this is of Zion has leg length discrepancy. He's already in bad shape (which can change) but with his weight and jumping ability, he's going to develop arthritis in his knees, hips and lower back. The good thing is this is one of the reasons why he jumps higher and has more hangtime than most, but it's going to cause some major issues down the line.

I have a feeling the Bulls will want to trade either Zach Levine or DeRozan for a lotto pick. If so the Rockets should consider trading the #4 pick for one of them or a star from another team. Just say no to Zion.

No to Levine. Green will probably catch up to him in a couple of years. DeRozan on a decent contract plus Caruso for the 4th and the 20th makes sense to me. I don't know their contracts though.

Zion doesn’t like basketball. He’s just genetically blessed so he’s playing it for easy income. Dude just wants to gain clout, eat and sleep with pornstars.

    Unacceptable/insane downside risk...no way.

Contrary to what some mght think, we aren't desperate. This doesn't fit our risk profle.

No to Zion but I'd do #4 straight up for Murphy.

Not a fan of Zion but compared to what is available he may be best option due to age and performance.

If he wasn't injury prone he would be untouchable.

If we're talking 4, Martin, and a future pick I would probably do it and take PG at 20...

He's young, under contract, and a position of need. Even if he's a guy who misses half the regular season; if he can play most of the playoffs you might be ok.

The best player on the Heat was acquired by trade after he'd already established himself.

He’d have too many issues in Houston with the ladies, besides the Pelicans aren’t going to trade him to a division rival unless you empty out the chest.

I've been a big Zion supporter from the jump but the risk is undeniable at this point. At his best he's an MVP level player, but in most cases he's in street clothes.

I didn't mean we shouldn't acquire players by trade, I meant we shouldn't acquire players who aren't interested in playing basketball.
