$70 for a haircut and beard trim is ridiculously ridiculous.

Specs gives a discount for using debit.

Lol, it's not a discount for using cash, it's a premium for using credit.

It is a discount for using cash because the cost of credit is built in to sticker prices. What I don’t like is ‘$2 charge for credit cards’. Specs can keep the ‘discount’ for all I care. I just don’t like a penalty for using plastic.

I also have a pet theory that they are making it easier to launder money by encouraging cash flow.

No, it's the same thing you hate, just in reverse. They put the CC price on the shelves, instead of putting the cash price on the shelves and dinging you at the register. There's no difference between what they do and what you claim you hate.

Also, as an aside, I just got my LOKITHOR JA401 delivered to the door. Now all I need is a dead battery or a flat tire.

Greek enough to be on the beaches of Santorini in 2 weeks while you're milking cows and cutting down trees or whatever.

I don't do either of those things.

Good luck with the face wax, since you'll be going Greek are you gonna get your ass bleached too?

Greece is an awesome place, there's very little I don't like about the non-athens parts.

Nah bruh. My OP about the subject is that they need to build the fees into their prices. Which is what Specs does and what every other retailer does. Specs just says ‘here’s the fee back’ when you get a cash discount. And then they can inflate the cash earnings to launder money. Everyone wins.

I’m going today to get LOKITHOR tattooed across my upper back in olde English font.

I ran the rum aisle at the downtown location for a year or so, btw.

Your tat absolutely has to look like the corporate logo: https://www.lokithorshop.com/

Still a thing. The problem is finding a barber in there worth a damn.

Come to TN. I just found out today that a barbershop here with a semi retired old man charges $6. But the “nice” people here are throwing an extra buck in as a tip?!?

I don’t have a lot of hair left but there is no way I’m going there. And if I did and tossed him a 10, I’d probably be thrown out or looked down upon.

My wife has short hair and goes to the Bearded Lady Barber Company near West U. My wife likes the barber and said she's good, albeit talkative.

Price is less than $50 for a haircut I think. My wife looked for a new barber when her last one raised her prices to $120 per cut.

I've been using the same barber for nearly 8 years now, but can't justify the cost to do it monthly. I think the last time with tip was around $80. Granted, he does an amazing job, the conversation is always fantastic, and I'm very happy to support local businesses, so I'm still going quarterly. Luckily my wife likes me shaggy so it works out. I'm also sure to drink about $20 worth of alcohol while I'm there.

Yeah - go get your hair cut by some Vietnamese woman if you never want to get laid again. Just rub your head on a moving car tire for the same effect.

For real $6? That's the price my old man paid to get my haircut in 97. He was a shitty barber too...may God rest his soul.
