Exactly. After pick #1, the chances of any player from 2-5 making an all star team at any point in there career is like 25%. Some of the all-star names available - the chances of Pascal Siakam, Jaylen Brown, OG Anunoby etc making another all star team is way higher - 50-100%.
You're not factoring in the value of a rookie contract, which is absolutely massive given current cap rules. Nor the opportunity cost of spending assets and cap space which could be used to acquire a better player later.
I think your wrong... I think Jalen and Jabari would sure be considered over Amen at 4. Regardless, go ahead and take the swing...Amen has the biggest bust factor of any of the lottery picks we have selected, but he is also might have the highest ceiling...we play to win championships....take the swing...dont trade the pick..
