how long until scott servais get fired? errbody thought the mariners was going to take the next step. turned out it's the rangers instead. edit: fugg, wrong thread
Compared to this time last year, they are improved. 45 games into this season they are 22-23. 45 games into last season they were 18-27 and in last place. Seattle is slow to get going like the Astros.
lmao wtf. i absolutely worship the man. can't believe such blasphemy ever came out of my mouth, but i promise i've made up for this in effusive praise since. what were the exact trades so i dont have to go back and look at them? we've come a long damn way. a hell of a journey. and wtf made u find this lol
Last season I saw someone post ( maybe here maybe elsewhere) that every season the Mariners did well they had big dropoff the next season. It was crazy. I'll check the records. If anyone posted that and has it handy feel free to save me the time. Edit: 16 winning seasons in history. 9 out of 15 they have followed that with a losing season. This year they are under .500 currently.
Anyone noticed that the Carlos Perez catching for the A's today is the same Carlos Perez involved in the 2012 Astros-Blue Jays trade involving J.A Happ, Brandon Lyon and David Carpenter to the Jays for Francisco Cordero, Asher Wojciechowski, David Rollins, Joe Musgrove, Ben Francisco and Kevin Comer? He was later traded with Nick Tropeano to the Angels for Hank Conger. Kinda crazy he's managed to stay in baseball for 10 years as a backup C. Think Musgrove is the only other guy in either trade still in the big leagues.
“F*ck ESPN, leave him alone, let him go! We gotta do player of the game, let’s go! My god, stop asking so many questions, let’s go!”
Ok. Gerald Young vs. Eric Yelding Glen Barker vs Brian Hunter Winners meet in the Slim Jim mano a mano championships, tent pole division. Wait. I forgot Willie Taveras.
