If a combination of 4, 20, Martin and basically any other player we didn‘t draft in the top 20 the last two drafts would be enough, then I‘d almost call it a no brainer to trade for Scoot. I might even be willing to trade BKN pick next year. But I kinda doubt that that would do it. There is a clear top 3 in this draft - and Scoot is probably the only other player with superstar upside. Behind them it almost doesn‘t matter if you pick 4th or 7th.

I‘d do that trade also for a player like Brown or Bridges. But again, I doubt that that would be enough. We either have to overpay (as in throwing in mutliple BKN picks or one of our top4 young guys on the team), or live with what we have.

Trade for Caruso, Brown and sign Reaves in FA. If you gotta give up 1-4 you do it. Either that or trade for Scoot and sign Reaves. This team badly needs defense and Brown/Reaves/Caruso all play great defense.

My only wish is that they bring in players that can contribute at both ends. As much as I enjoyed the Harden years , when his shot is not falling he becomes a liability as opposed to Jimmy Butler who you can depend on to at least give max effort on the defensive side.

This would be an awesome starting. Just gotta find a defensive minded center.

I wouldn't because Lavine is not someone who could lead you to win a ship. I rather take a gamble with Jalen and see what we get.

Who are you giving up for Brown?

Will we be taking two steps back to take two steps forward?

To me it only worked if Harden came as a discount. Jaylen hasn't proven to be a number 1 option. He has been under the radar of Tatum and Marcus Smart

I would trade 1-4 plus for Ja in a heartbeat.

Not worried at all, gotta get him out of that Memphis environment.

    Green and 1-4.

A 3 man backcourt of Brown/Reaves/Caruso would really help the defense and having a true PG on the floor at all times will also help the offense.

Fair enough but he also missed like 50 games, 15 games and ,30 games first 3 years..he might be prone too, I think I would trade anything for him not too overpriced and not sengun green jabari

Reaves played well while James was injured.

    Defense travels

Agreed. But if there was one player I would trade Green for, it would be Lavine. Lavine has a the potential to win a chip in the next three years if he's healthy and with the right cast around him. As it stands, he's on the Blake Griffin path. His shelf life might be expiring quickly. Has a window 4-5 years open and then he's just a veteran role player.

Caruso is not a difference maker on a Mediocre team and With that being said holding on to those assets or pairing them with additional assets/picks for something worthy is a better alternative imo.

    I disagree.

Caruso is All Defensive First team at 6'5" that
would be considered the best defensive option at PG and SG off the bench.

Means if the opposing teams PG or SG is taking it to KPj or Green like 35 plus points like last season....in steps Caruso. And by the way Caruso can pass some and space the floor as a 36% (3P%).

Tate, TyTy, Garuba, JC are not first team anything.

    Starters...............2nd unit
    KPj.......................Caruso
    Green....................KPj ($18M)
Patrick W..............Cam Johnson ($20M.... $$ in second unit- luxury of being under cap)
    Jabari...................Tari
    Sengun.................Jabari

Our 2nd unit would kick most other
    teams first units @$$

Our Hampton-5 unit would kill it
    KPj (43.5% CnS 3's)
    Cam Johnson (41.5% CnS 3's)
    Tari ( 35.8% CnS 3's)
    Patrick Williams (41.9% CnS 3's)
    Jabari 30.7% (3P%)

and we could draft Jarace Walker #4 (use future 1st to get deal done)

Have free agency money to spare to sign Jeremi
    Grant (20 pts / 40% from 3........39.3% in CnS 3's)

Green might already be better than Zach LaVine next season, let alone when he's 27.

Reaves isn’t great defensively. Especially with no rim protector and is he going to start over Jalen Green Bev they play the same spot.

I think 6 and 11 are very close to value as what someone might give to get Amen. That could get it done.
I absolutely wouldn't toss any more than #20 in there.
Take Walker, and then use #11 as ammo towards a young star.
    Don't want Caruso or Hart.
JC's..going to eventually be a player, so I'm not ready to ship him yet.

Cam Johnson and Claxton . That would be a nice return in a packaged deal
