I swear that ball hit the wall first. Surprised CHI didn’t challenge that.

Also… good god does Abreu look bad. I don’t even want to see hits anymore, the dude needs to start barreling some balls. We didn’t sign him to be a slappy 7 hitter, we signed him to slug and drive in runs. There’s an entire Crawford Box that he hasn’t sniffed once this year. This has become beyond problematic.

He will get playing time but keep in mind that he brings zero power and he almost never walks- even with the 300 average he is a league average hitter by most measures.

all turning it around this year. I’m guilty of hating like all the rest. I’ll keep the faith with Hensley !

How has Jose Abreu not been moved down yet?

Interesting to hear the tbs crew talking about his struggles and how Yuli is raking in Florida.

I don’t usually like the home team booing their own - but Abreu has now gone 1/4 of a full MLB season with no homers and a handful of extra base hits. He would normally have 7-9 homers right now.

I agree that he was an awesome Astro. He was the anchor of our rotation last year. One of the best pitchers we have ever had. That being said, the dude fleeced us for 66 mil. I know he was hurt so I’m partially kidding.

Yep, not something I'd do personally but I get it.

As far as JV...whatever. Don't care what happens to him as long as the Mets lose.
