Yeah, they renamed themselves because of all the talent they've pissed away.

I don't see why the Heat are so high. Sure they have Shaq but Dwayne Wade is no Kobe Bryant and the Miami fans are nuts if they feel thats all you need to win a title. Indiana and Detroit will walk all through the East again this season.

Those same "money guys" had the Florida Marlins at about 70:1 odds to win the World Series last year.

What I'm wondering is why they put the T-Wolves above the Pistons, who have basically the same roster and destroyed the Lakers who basically dismantled the T-Wolves with Karl Malone limping around on one leg.

Someone who knows about gambling tell me where I need to go to be 6:1 the Heat won't win the championship. Shaq is there to sell tickets, not to win it all, Vegas.

wasn't malone pretty much fine throughout the twolves series and then hurt in the finals? the pistons got the hobbled malone, not the wolves, IIRC.

and even then, a good argument could be made that if the wolves second best player, cassell, didn't essentially miss the whole series with an injury that the lakers wouldn't have even been the team in the finals. while it doesn't mean the wolves would win, i'd take the wolves with healthy cassell over the lakers with barely mobile malone to go against the pistons.

of course, if the lakers had played with the same intensity they played with after going down 0-2 to the spurs they could've beaten the pistons also, but i'm glad they decided not to.
