Nagelsmann yesterday saying how Gravenberch did really well and they want to keep his momentum going with a start. Today mfer starts Musiala at 6 and Müller at 10, tired of this clown.
Cancelo is great in joining the attack from either the right or left side. He has some of the most impressive crosses into the box coming from some unusual ball striking. I enjoyed his time at City. Shame that there was a fall out between Cancelo and Pep that lead to this. From what I read the option to buy for Bayern is set at 70 million euros so I am happy that the potential sum coming back from either Bayern or some other club over the summer will be high. Need to get that influx of cash in for the Jude Bellingham sweepstakes.
Plettenberg on Sky live atm saying city and Bayern already agreed on Bayern being able to sign cancelo for much less than 70mil in summer if they want to.
It does surprise me and it is telling how easy players could become malcontents, players that were considered untouchable not long ago.
I had high hopes for them, but...yeah. Our Jalen and KPJ . But I also think Nagelsmann is not the right coach. Very good coach at the German level, but he will never be good enough to win the CL.
I think he's a good replacement for Eriksen while he's out. He offers much of the same skill set. I think Fred is going to play a majority of the minutes, even once McTominay comes back. Such a strange window. Todd Boehly is clearly going with the strategy used by the Dodgers. Just spend like a drunken a***hole and hope it pays off at least once.
Sabitzer was the only double pivot 6er that actually played the role how it's supposed to be, defended well and did okay passing out of pressing imo, would much rather see him than Goretzka.
Always saw him as a liability on offense, often enough played inaccurate passes or made wrong decisions with the ball. Goretzka is much better, when in shape.
I just don't think this Kimmich-Goretzka pairing works due to both of them not being defensive-minded and positioned up way too high on the pitch, while not good at passing against pressure. We struggle heavily at playmaking/establishing midfield dominance and being defensively sound against counter attacks due to their high positioning. So even though Goretzka individually is more talented, it doesn't really matter when he can't function well with Kimmich as a double pivot. We still haven't at all found a real successor for Thiago and need someone like that (or the Schweini/Martinez type).
Mason Greenwood had all the charges dropped. https://www.espn.com/soccer/manches...ued-against-man-united-player-mason-greenwood DD
