Kevin Garnett averaged 10.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 80 games in his rookie season in 1995-96
Can you imagine how much worse banchero would have looked with the rockets? Not enough shots and even you get them they are inconsistent in volume. With green on board and having the potential to lead the league in scoring one day and senguin needing touches to eventually unlock his full potential, Smith is the perfect pairing with those 2.
Smith is making the most to the little amount of shots allocated towards him. Man could have easily broke his career scoring high this game.
THIS! KPG should not have the same stats as Jalen taking 25 shots. Smh dude should avg at least 8 assist a game. That wasn't goin on until Silas got back. They (silas) has not gave this dude a "defined" role. Jabari almost was perfect from FG and taking under 20 shots is criminal!
The problem remains the same, this team does not have a natural playmaker. KPJ isn't even a good combo guard for this league. This does not mean that the guy is a bad player, it means that he continues to play in a position that is not the right one for him. Therefore... Jabari will continue to suffer the consequences of this mistake.
Agreed. They were really leaving smith open tonight to cheat into the lane KPJ could have made that pass multiple times.
But what about the spinning, falling, 1 legged jumper/floater in a packed paint?? We would miss out on those gems
I'm kind of done with KPJ at the point, not as a player, but at the point I definitely am. Bench him, start Green and Ego in the backcourt and Martin at the SF spot. That being said, Jabari is easily our best 3pt shooter and it's already reflecting in his % at .368. Tate, Garuba and Hudgins are higher but that's only due to the very few shots taken. With his defense and 3pt shot, he's already a star in the making.
