great defense in the 4th. Would love better shooting from him but missed a double double again by a rebound and great defense overall. Timely points in the 4th too

Jabari needs to stay aggressive at all times and he makes a difference in the game.

Develop your bag and moves in practice and stay aggressive always.

Best defense I have seen from Jabari this season.

He was a difference maker on defense in the 4th, without question.

He's still a negative on offense, but it's good to see him being a key difference maker in a win.

Defense has been pretty decent, I expect that the second half of the season his shooting will come back to him. Will have a similar type of season Jalen Green had last season.

Jabari has all the tools to be one of the best defensive players, he is going to be a defensive force in this league, he just needs time to develop his game and work his body.

Elite top 3 to 5% depending on the sample size.

You can look up the data yourself.

    Wait wut?

So why do we have multiple post going back and forth about Stoyachavich?

I responded to a post comparing Smith and Peja to Smith was that your post if not why don't you go in on that guy?

I am not the one with the fuzzy memory if you think Smiths game was remotely like Peja who was always a 2 guard.

Well said. This is what I have been hoping for. Involving himself and effecting the game without just getting more shots. The 4th quarter was a positive step.

The false dawn of getting a bunch of blocks and rebounds against a bone-tired, Luka-less Mavericks team that couldn't buy a basket and played its 12th men is shining bright this morning.

Would you rather him not of done that? Regardless of who were playing, it's still a positive moment for our 19yr old rookie. He at least found a way to make a positive impact on the game and in his super young career that's something that should get some praise.

No I'm just wary of reading too much into last night - the 29th ranked defensive team looked like a shot swatting rebounding juggernaut for 48 minutes.

Better than not doing it! But is it a turn of the corner? Don't know.

I must have missed it when Bill called Jabari a 25k points guy

The Rockets and thus Jabari's issues begin and end with KPJ/Silas. Yesterday the action he ran with Green is promising. It puts the defense in a pickle. You either help on Green and leave Jabari open, or you stick to Jabari and leave the defender alone against Green. The reason that KPJ cant do this same play comes down to the fact that he isn't physically able to create the separation and he's not smart enough to make the appropriate read.

We really just shipped off Wood only to replace him with his guard equivalent. At least Wood padded his PPG numbers last night. More bait for the crowd that believes Points/Assist/Rebs/+- is the right way to gauge a player.

I don't know why people criticize his defensive effort. The effort was definitely there. He just lacks strength to defend bigger players and sometimes he gets confused about his position.
