Levis is nothing like Osweiler or Mallett, like literally nothing in common. Stroud is as far away from Lance as a prospect as it gets. Stroud is a polished pocket passer with good arm talent and makes solid reads. Lance is a raw athletic guy that is all physical traits at this point. In fact, Levis is more similar to Lance than Stroud. Young should be QB1 in this draft, but I wouldn’t draft him at 1.1
Young should be the pick, but he’s also from California lol. It’s a silly reason to not draft someone in the nfl, especially a qb because I think they’d rather be a starting qb than not and those opportunities are limited. I think reuniting Young with Metchie would be a great start to our rebuild and we have enough cap space and other draft capital to improve the team immensely in other areas as well. By 2024, the talent should be good enough on this team to start competing and Young wouldn’t be a rookie at that point.
I'd draft a QB this year if the coaching staff would be fired and the draftee can start from square one with an aligned strategy instead of playing out the first year with a placeholder coach/staff and then having to start all over year 2 or 3.
To bad Drake Maye is only a freshman. If he came out next year, I would wait on a QB. All mocks and up to date. Draft defense. https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/
Levis 11/23, 109, 0 TD, 1 INT and a loss to to Vanderbilt. looking more like a 3rd rounder than a top 10 pick.
I agree, Bryce is the only QB I’d take in the first. I wouldn’t be mad if they went defense with both picks in the first.
Name to file away for the future: Harold Perkins, freshman LB from LSU He had an absolute monster game today, very Will Anderson-esque. 8 tackles, 4 TFL, 4 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 1 QB hit, 1 PD Also:
Quentin Johnston has been battling an ankle injury and is apparently a game-time decision vs UT tonight, which is a bummer (as a football fan but not as a UT fan)
