Finally catching up. Was there last night, can’t explain it, when they went up 1-0 it didn’t feel over. I know the bats looked dead but there was just a feeling in the stadium that wouldn’t be the only run of the game. I was so focused on yordan just getting a sad fly that when he hit it I thought “ok, cool, that’s deep enough to score altuve, thanks yordan” it JUST KEPT GOING.. didn’t even register what had happened until the train started.. unreal night.
Congrats guys, so glad I found this place to talk with other die hard fans after they had shut down the official MLB boards. I hope we see our lineup improve as much as the bullpen was improved.
Also, I’m not one to say I called a homer, I didn’t, in fact I just wanted the deep sac fly.. but I was telling my friend “it’s actually good they put Alvarado in here. They have put him in to face Alvarez like 4 times this series, eventually it has to sway in favor of the batter seeing the same guy” and then he hit it four hundred and fifty ****ing feet
After Game 3, Philly never finished an inning while leading Astros led 15x More than half the remaining innings of the series
Was in Austin for a wedding. But I got to watch it with 3 friends who are in their 60s and all grew up in Spring Branch. Die hards since they could walk. Was so awesome the reaction we all had on that last out. I said from the beginning of the series that there was an inevitability to this team. This is one of the best teams I’ve ever seen and they finished it off right. And they ain’t gone yet. This dynasty will go on.
Congrats to everybody here on another Astros title!!!!!!!!! Other than a few random posts I’ve lurked here for years. This is one of the most active Astros communities I have found and I’ve really enjoyed following the team via the game threads here. I’ve learned so much from the discussion here. I’ll also note that this place has become even more special to me since the sign stealing scandal broke a few years ago. Pretty any non Astros specific community is is completely unwelcome and often hostile towards any Astros fans. So thank you to everybody here for helping provide a community for Astro fans to talk about our team without all the BS and abuse that we get elsewhere. Finally, I really want to dig into the game and team more deeply and hope to get engaged with all the various discussions regarding off-season roster moves, the draft, prospects and so on. This seems like the place to do it. Thanks again to everybody here and enjoy celebrating the title this weekend!!!!
Not that anyone cares, but he directed that Derek Jeter documentary that came out not too long ago on ESPN. So, naturally... Yankees fan. Those comments are hilarious, as if that somehow makes them a Better Sports Fan for only congratulating Dusty.
The guy also seems to hate Mancini for whatever reason. He said he was only happy he’s healthy in response to several people who said they also are happy for Mancini besides Dusty (or instead of Dusty). Maybe it’s because he was with the Orioles, otherwise, I have no idea why you would hate a guy who everybody seems to love off the field.
Being picky right now..... Altuve should've had a double on his 7th-inning single Official scorer wasn't the problem... his effort/assumption was the problem No way Schwarber throws him out even if he fields cleanly
