Contractual status, how much does it weigh on you? KPJ: I said it last year, kinda stopped worrying about it last year. I got a team that represents me and handles that part. It hasn’t been weighing on me because that’s been my mindset. What kind of place are you in right now? KPJ: Dope question. Being in the space I am now and looking back, it’s a beautiful space to be in. I found joy in every day life. Waking up every day, I found a joy in that. Drinking water, being able to just walk and run, once I was able to count the small things being a blessing again helped me with everything in every aspect of my life. Rockets gave me the opportunity to get to this point. Without the year I had last year, I wouldn’t have discovered what this space would be. It’s a dope space to be in and I’ve been in it for a long time. Probably end of last season. I plan on staying and letting this be who I am now. You mentioned the space you’re in now. How did you get there? KPJ: A little more understanding myself, looking myself in the mirror, looking back at everything I’ve been through. Pointing out the facts there’s good and bad. Just re-evaluating myself, where I am today, where I want to be and things I need to do in order to get where I want to become. Once I was able to do that and be honest with myself, everything else was easy. I always tell myself awareness is hardest part of growth and elevation. Once you get that awareness part, it comes down to are you gonna do it or not. I got sick of being in my own way basically.
Nice. The only player that looks improved stronger is Collin Sexton. That's scary. Head is not there but here's the keys to the franchise.
We only have 2 vets on this team, Boban and EG. We shouldn't ever do a rebuild with some vets hanging around.
What do you mean? Seems like his answer indicates his head if closer to his shoulders than many feared. Nothing about his answer issued red flags for me.
You put it on too quick or in the wrong way and you end up looking like Garuba. Then you’ve got an angry CF mob calling for your head. He’ll get there eventually.
He needs to work on his ball handling and outside shooting. I said it after his 1st yr, if he wants mins and $$, he needs to become a 3, he's too small and thin to be a 4.
