food for thought ... if Fisher is so much better than Barry for a team with 2 superstars, why is LA willing to let Fisher go, so they can sign Barry?

Id imagine Barry would be playing the 3 for them.

The possibility of waiting for next year is discussed in this thread, "Patience and Point Guards" - http://bbs2.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=79865

BobFinn* answered your and my question:

    2005 Free Agent Point Guards

    Jamaal Tinsley
    Tony Parker
    Charlie Ward
    Marko Jaric
    Jalen Rose
    Larry Hughes
    Antonio Daniels
    Bobby Jackson
    Damon Stoudamire
    Darrell Armstrong
    Erick Strickland
    Earl Watson
    Gary Payton
    Jason Richardson
    Mike James
    Tony Delk
    Jeff McInnis

Tinsley, Daniels, Watson, and McInnis are all interesting, but none are particularly good shooters.

The question from my thread which never got answered: capologists, are we likely to be in better, worse, same, can't tell position for signing a pg next year?

If Fish is looking for more than $3mm per year (which he opted out of), I am not too excited. I am not convinced he will be demonstrably better than Lue over the next three years. NO MORE BAD CONTRACTS.

Does he have $5 million more experience? If I remember correctly Lue gave AI fits when LA played Philly in the Finals a couple of years ago. So, he has experience. He is 5 years younger, and he makes $1.65 million. I don't see why everyone wants Fisher over Lue who we already have.

I also don't buy the "triangle" argument in regard to assists. I personally have played a little point in a "triangle set" and I had plenty of assists. I'm not trying to say its on the same level, but the principals are the same.

Fisher is only decent, and if we pick up anyone it should be Barry or maybe Hudson.

    Fisher is ass.

Can we not afford Hudson? Hell, even Barry would be better than Fisher.
