Horrible. Didn't something like this happen a in Houston a few years ago? Also last winter there was a case of an Indian family found frozen after they had been abandoned on the Canadian border.

As long as there is a disconnect in supply and demand in immigration there always will be smuggling and the our current immigration laws just leads to both more waste on gestures that do little like border walls while encouraging a black market. We should be having more legal immigration to match the demand from both people coming to this country and the business community that is eager to hire these people.

 

I bet this gets all of those Pro Lifers up in arms!!!

The "drop dead" easy solution to illegal immigration is to make using illegal workers uneconomic. Have fines that business can not risk or they would go under.

I hate to defend @tinman but I'm guessing he's liking the post because he appreciated the story being shared, not liking that 40 people died.

 

Absolutely horrific.

These people just want better lives.

And they would work cheap to boot.

 

Sure that could be one solution it also likely will lead to even much higher inflation and shortages than we see now.

 

Half century years young @tinman has a bright future ahead of it.

The worst policy for the dangers of illegal immigration is the one where its possible but difficult. If it's near impossible, they won't come, if its easy, then they won't get shoved in a truck.
