I don't feel good about this. Sosa up to bat. 2 on. 1 out. tie game. Man....PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't lose this game Stros!!! Sosa pops out. 2 outs now. COme on Miceli! Get Alou out!!!
With Redding moving to the pen (if you guys missed the announcement, Munro is now the 5th starter), he could fill this role... especially if he just lets his arm fly and throws his 4-seam fastball with authority (he's been saving himself in the games that he's stated). Of course, he could end up being worse as a bullpen guy. Also, I don't envision many more games (barring injury to the starters) where we'll need a 6th inning set-up guy, but lets hope Redding gets his head in check, and becomes the next Eckersley! (yea right). Actually, I'd settle for the next Dotel...
Redding can be a good 1 or 2 inning guy. He usually does well in the first couple of innings in the game he starts so hopefully it can carry over to relief.
AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW CRAP! I so new our fielding was going to kill us again! Another HORRIBLE PLAY!! 2 runs for cubs. Error on Biggio. He coughed it up. 7-5 fuzzy bears.
Well, there's the game for ya! Our fielding has gone down the toilet this inning. I love how the Astros are their own worst enemy! Seriously, they just shot themselves in the foot. BOOOOOOO!!!!!!
See, you're wrong because you're trying to use logic to anticipate how and why Jimy would use players. I stopped trying that last year.
Because he told Craig to drop an easy pop fly to left field? Trust me, no manager would have Craig Biggio playing the outfield for their team, if he wasn't an Astros living legend, and had the mandate of god (Drayton) to play him everyday.
