    Good news. I don’t want Simmons. Simmons contract doesn’t block Correa from cubs but seems like they wouldn’t sign Simmons if they had real intentions on Correa.

    Trades at the deadline are often for high priced players on teams that need to reduce salaries. The ability to take on salaries can be more valuable than the players returned for a rental.

    They expanded the playoffs. Barring major injuries, I don't see 6 teams in the AL better than the Astros. I hope they improve the roster before the season, but they don't have to.

    We saw what happened in 2020 with the expanded playoffs. Many more teams are in contention, so the trade market dries up - too many buyers, not enough sellers.
