There is no way in hell Green ever reaches Ja Morant status....Ja is just a whole lot more skillful.

He doesn’t have to be MJ just like Kobe didn’t have to either. Michael Jordan entered the NBA after his junior year of college. Nearly 3 yrs of physical maturity and experience in a traditional college pathway allowed MJ to contribute immediately though he did have pathetic 3 pt shooting his rookie season.
JG will improve physically and will improve his overall game especially at the cup.
Time will tell how great he will become.

    I agree with you.
MJ shot averaged about 16% from 3 his first 4 years in the NBA....
then brought it up to about 28% his 5th season (at age 25)

I feel like Morant is about 30% more athletic than Jalen Green

2 very true facts are that Donald Trump invented the phrase "prime the pump" and DD invented the phrase "fool's gold"

He’s definitely more athletic I’m not sure why people compare the two, one is a hyper athletic point guard with good size. The other is a undersized SG that is a good athlete.

So, if Green has a 40 inch vertical that means Morant would have a 52? If Green's 40 yard dash is 4.4 that means Morants is 3.4? And so on...

30% more athletic than Green is some super freak athlete that doesn't really exists.

Morant has an edge on Green on athleticism, but 30% is just silly.

Morant is certainly a more refined athlete. Morant also exploded from year 2 to 3. I don't think Green will be putting up Morant numbers his 3rd year, but Morant-lite isn't unfathomable. Out of all of the 'upside' comps, Morant makes more sense than guys like Lavine.

Also, the tweet i posted was projecting Green dropping 50 before his rookie contract is over, not Green being a Morant clone

Going up against the #7 defense twice in a row is a nice little test. They have some good defenders on him, even throwing Batum at him at times. I don't know why, just have a feeling he's going to have a really good game.

It’s unfair to compare Morant to Green right now. At Green’s age, Morant was a sophomore at Murray State who went into the season under most people’s radars.

Not on athleticism but he is at least 50% better on skill.

Morant is what you want to get with a number 2 pick - we got a project which is what you would get around 8-12 instead.

Who wasn't considered a project at pick 2 outside of Suggs?

Green is having a better rookie season than Morant.
