this comparison folks try to use to justify simmons is nonsense. draymond has never nor will he ever be the mental midget of simmons and draymond isn't the negative on offense simmons is either

We are grateful that our brother James and our brother Daryl made this deadline buzzer beater deal possible.

We also thank Sean Marks, Steve Nash and Mike, Dan and Tony for their united effort.

Except harden is old and embiid isn't close to Shaq.

Im talking about their roles and fit in the basketball court. I've no clue what's in Simmons' head or his thinking/readiness, which is why I stated he was a huge question mark.

In terms of fit, Simmons would fit perfectly with a KD, Kyrie, Harris, Curry, Mills, rotation. Pg, point forward and Draymond role are merely broad terms. I'm referring specifically to the player who has the ball & will be initiating the offense for the team which Draymond does a lot when he's in the court to negate his offensive weaknesses.

Simmons would fit perfectly in the same role. His zero shooting vs Draymond's horrible yet occasional shooting would be more than offset by Simmons much greater scoring ability in the paint. Simmons at the high post will be extremely dangerous because of KD, Irving, Curry, Harris, Mills coming around screens cuts or for dribble handoffs as well as Simmons himself driving.

All this of course will be dependent on Simmons being in shape mentally/physically and committed as well as the availability of KD, Irving, Harris. That's a big IF.

we'll see how this works out, but trading kevin martin and a #11 pick for harden and then 10 years later trading a thought to be sunk cost ben simmons for harden is insane. he really did just outpatient everyone and wait for things to break. like he usually does.

i think throwing in curry is a big deal, but simmons had so little value i guess there was no choice.

When I first heard the deal . .. I hear Patty Mills was included .. .at that point it was molestation
but without Mills or Curry . . . the shooting will suffer

For all the jokes and memes about Morey and this trade, I wonder how good Simmons is for the Nets? In Theory, he should fit even better than Harden, but in Theory, he should have found a way to make it work with Embiid.

You really run into the same problem as you did with the 76ers. Sure Ben can handle and pass, but do you really want him to take the ball out of KD/Kryrie's hands?

This is a pretty deep team now.

    Harden
    Maxey
    Thybulle
    Embid
    Harris
    Niang
Milton ( If he comes back )
    Green
    Korkmaz

    They need a backup C

I don't get why this is so important to some of you people.

For me, I just want to see the Nets implode. Not getting into playoffs would be the best I can hope for.
