What mr.paige said. You're thinking of another show. I have watched Jeopardy for many many years. I will be on that show someday.
I think the person who said there was a "penalty" for clicking before the answer was read is right. I always see contestants clicking their buttons with no result. I wonder if the experience Ken is getting with the clicker giving him some sort of advantage because I never see him make that mistake.
This guy is playing the WRONG game He needs to get on Super Millionaire or whatever its called and win that 10 million dollar prize. Less amount of questions too, plus he has multiple choice on the questions.
By the way he's winning, he'll not only get to 10 million, but he'll have more respect, beating out all these people and not having to answer only 16 questions with life lines. And I want to come on the Jeopardy with the kids...I can so kick their asses! Too bad I'm 18.
The one thing that does disappoint me about this Ken guy is that he bets extremely conservatively on Daily Doubles and Final Jeopardy. If he'd bet the difference between what he has and what his closest opponent opponent has for Final Jeopardy, he would have beaten the daily record many times now. He rarely risks over $2500. Granted it makes how high his ending score is just that more impressive.
I've been watching the past two weeks as well. He is amazing. When he gets on a roll, he'll sweep two categories in a blink of an eye. The other contestants get so flustered that they don't know what hit them. He is astonishing and its going to take a magnificent effort to get him off. He seems to know just about everything and anything.
They do a short interview with all contestants and if I understood Ken's dialog correctly, he works in the business of coming up with questions for High School and/or College Prep Bowl contests. Not cheating, but that type of background does give him an edge over most other contestants.
today was the first time i saw the guy. i loved his comeback. he didn't seem to flinch a bit. if he runs over teh show for say, 5 weeks straight, they better not take him off for any reason. it's not his fault he's in the "business" of making up questions.
