I honestly know NOTHING of his politics Never gave it a thought and had not given him much thought since Fight Club I liked the Bat out of Hell Album before that I only knew his cartoon version in comic books and did not understand the reference By all accounts he seemed to come off as a personable ok dude R.I.P. I hate preventable deaths. He made his choices . . . . . they were his to make Rocket River
Somebody sent that entire clip to me since I don't watch the show, and I have to say that has to be some of the most bizarre stuff I've seen lately (outside of the usual bizarre stuff with people losing their peanut-sized minds in public lately). You have Gary Busey being threatened by Meatloaf who is in the process of losing his mind over paint supplies he thinks Busey stole while Lil Jon is in the same room wondering if rap videos are safer. lolol
RIP loaf. bat out of hell was one of the first songs i ever downloaded on napster. loved his music and him and jim steinman might be the most well-matched lyricist/vocalist pairing in music history. just watched rocky horror picture show for the first time ever a month or two ago. exactly as weird as i thought it would be and very fun (tim curry seemed to be having a good time with it). off to youtube.
Meatloaf had a great story about the JFK assassination. Ignore the fact it's on the Mike Huckabee show.
The Irony of him embrassing the right after his youthful Bat out of Hell career. And the Rocky Horror Picture show....such a switch......one was open and wild, and full of life the other led to unnecessary death... DD
He made his choice and I can respect that. At least we're not in China were you don't get choice. I would do anything for love was his best song imo.
These days politics can frequently color everything. With someone like Meat Loaf I think you can still enjoy his music and artwork without agreeing with his politics.
