    Bizarre thread because Hollins was never hired to take the spot of Bill. Hollins is a color commentator.

    And he's been ok. He still is trying to figure out when to get super hyped and when not to. Sometimes he gets overhyped for no good reason. And as @T for 3 said, Craig's humor does sometimes go over his head.

    Hats off to Hollins. No one has made me seek out the opposing team's commentary each and every game.

    But Hollins sure does excel in this.

    Technically Craig Ackerman filled Bill's shoes since both are play by play. Hollin's is color commentator. Hollin's replaced Matt Bullard.

    I think he chooses moments in the game to get hyped. He was also routinely criticizing rockets effort a few games ago and that was not his first time doing that.

    I think he’s better than Craig. Craig just isn’t funny and isn’t exciting to listen to. I wouldn’t mind bull coming back to take Craig’s spot.
