JG/KPJ go straight back to starting when they return, given how well team's played in their absence?

That’s not it a high bar at all. The team has overall has played better without Green & Porter And Ego is a subpar facilitator. I would love to see our young guys (Green & Porter included) play with a top notch shot creator.

You think Tillman has that kind of foresight? Winning fills seats. My concern is we’re gonna go back to isolation. JG and KPJr. are gonna try to score 50 each.

Well, Silas will do whatever Patrick wants him to do. Patrick knows a lot about basketball.

Porter has better handles than Gordon, but he is worse at literally everything else. I don’t want either running the offense for long stretches.

Personally, I think you have to try Porter and Green with our new lineup that provides better spacing. If it’s not working, tweak it, but you have to try.

If you want KPJ to play point guard put him in the second unit with Sengun and run the offense through the high post.

I think KPJ is pretty guaranteed to retake the starting PG spot, which means Brooks or Matthews moves out the starting lineup - if I were to hazard a guess, it will probably be Brooks.

As for Green, I think he should come off the bench. He just doesn't contribute in enough other ways, and his defense is bad enough to cause foul and energy issues for all the other starters. Let him get his equilibrium against other teams' bench players.

“When the starting guards return, with Green closer than Porter, Silas said they will still start, with Mathews and Armoni Brooks brought off the bench to provide shooting ideal for Sengun’s passing with the second unit.” — Feigen

JG should come off the bench. Let him get his ROY award by killing 2nd units.

I don’t care who starts. But, I will be looking at rotations and minutes.

I'm hoping the coaching staff has used this time during the win streak to have these kids watch how it's done. Watching teammates like Sengun, Tate, Matthews, JC, etc. playing offense/defense hard on every possession should be contagious.

Come back in and implement what you learned.

I just love the passing. It’s beautiful. Sengun has changed the culture along with Mathews.

That's going to be high-powered second unit. Silas must love Sengun.

Wood needs a creator on the floor as a PG and Porter is the best (low bar, and may be wrong, but if so...not by much) we have at the moment.

    Wrong.

KPJ was instrumental in 4 game win streak that ended up 7 games.

May as well start 2nd unit then.

Mathews and Brooks spacing is what makes Rockets offense go.

Need one of then (and EGo) on floor at all times.

    Silas never learns.

    Until his job gets threatened.

    AGAIN.

Beware, Matthews sucked in his last couple outings. That magic might have ran out. Green is a special talent undoubtedly. Not everyone has that speed and explosion to get to the hoop. Remember the team overall was not playing good basketball during that losing streak not just green. And KPJ was a part of a couple games in that win streak. Green may gradually work his way back into the starting lineup with that hamstring issue and his minutes may be monitored. But no doubt these two should start as the Rockets have had handling issues in the half court and the two should improve the rockets dribble penetration and playmaking.
