ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Grizzlies 11/15/2021

Was there a consensus opinion? Also when they hired Silas we had a veteran roster including 2 all stars. Even if you were for hiring Silas I wouldn’t blame you if you changed your opinion a year and a quarter into his tenure.

I said late last season. I watched the games, he had a **** roster playing competitive ball.

They put up 147 or something on Milwaukee.

I'm not talking about the stretch where we played Khyri Thomas, Cam Oliver, some other Cam and a bunch of other randoms that no other team wanted.

Those scrubs plus KPJ, KJ, Olynyk, Tate and Brooks looked vastly superior to what we've been watching

 

Duo of Mobley/Sengun would have been fun as hell.

 

a team like the Grizzlies used to be fodder for the Rockets…I remember when I used to call games a wrap before halftime because I knew the win was inevitable, my work was not to be doubted

but these days…sheesh

We held the memphis grizzlies under 140

 

If they are going to be this bad I would just rather have the rookies play 30 minutes a game.

 

Josh Christopher needs more minutes, and he looks like more of a point guard then KPJ.

We already don't play defense, how much worse can it get?

 

Pop also had Tim Duncan and David Robinson on the squad. Pop also has way more power here than Silas does. Like you we do not know whats going on the inside here. Coaches do but they cant make a trash roster be better than they are ready for. Our young players are young and our vets do not want to be here.

Why? What if we are tanking? What if we are trying to trade some of these guys? We do not know what is going on.


Steve Kerr was literally last in the league just two years ago.

 

The thing with KPJ is that he just seems bad at everything. He shoots the ball poorly, both from 3 and even layups. He's a terrible finisher next to the hoop, holds the ball way too long which leads to awkward and dysfunctional possessions, and is a bad passer. He's not even great from the free throw line. He's maybe above average defensively (?) but that's about his only redeeming feature.

 

He seems like he’s still got the butterflies out there. Only one of the rooks looks comfortable and that’s Sengun.

 

Garuba has some good flashes and then a bad foul . A rookie .

 

I was as well. We should have hired Tye Lue if Harden was going to be here. But now that hes not, we have to give whatever is happening now, time.

 

Team has checked out already. Even when the rockets make a decent play no one on the bench is clapping

Silas finally had the training camp he never failed to mention was missing last year.
Everyone has regressed. You’d think these kids are 38 instead of 20 the way they’re regressing

 

Olynyk is so much more of a team player than Wood is right now.
