How many games did the Chinese national team play with the Shock? The only game I could find was May 17 and Cheryl Ford did not play because of a back injury.

there is nothing in the article about how Ye got injured. it only says there is a scar on Ye's right shoulder, which was the result of playing against Ford.

Then the person who wrote the article is an idiot.

So is the person who started the thread. This is locked.

The reporter was merely quoting a French coach(on the CNT?) who said Ye Li got a scratch from Malone's daughter.

the text is not accusatory at all.

it's basically an update on the Chinese womens national team. it talks about how hard and tough their practices are, and injuries to some of the important players at the small forward position. to describe the grueling nature of their tuneups, they briefly mention that Ye Li has a scar under her right shoulder, resulting for getting tangled up with shelley ford.

says the coach: "if you want to learn basketball, you must pay the tuition." <--- as in, getting bruises is part of the game.

funny coincidence is all. there's no accusation in the story, and the story isn't about Ye Li at all but rather the whole team. they just picked a sensationalistic title.
