3 firsts and 3 swaps was rejected by Portland. I’m sure that also starts with McCollum as far as matching salaries. Morley has gone mad.

Yeah Morey is full of **** lol. Portland is on the brink of Lillard requesting a trade if things don't start out well for them this season, so why the hell would they risk their entire future for Ben Simmons lol.

It’s pretty much the same as the Harden deal. He’s going to need to come off that, especially if you are getting a valuable player in return.

I mean I think that's exactly why they would consider it. If they do nothing they're going to lose Dame 100% without question. They have to shake it up and their options are limited because they're over the cap and don't have an excess of desirable assets. They also don't really have any young guys they can hope breakout and make the team improved. Dame and CJ aren't getting it done. So maybe you move CJ for Simmons and see if they pair better together. At worst, you start your post-Dame rebuild with a young all-star already on the roster.

Latest: Morey is out of his mind. CJ, 3 FRPs, and 3 swaps? Absurd.

Nuggets added their core via draft ORGANICALLY.

DEN draft strategy was not to tank for multiple years in hope of picking top 5 players.

Nuggets supplement their draft picks with vet players EVERY season.

Poor analogy and point made is useless.

Are you bonkers? (Thank You for the comment by the way)

Denver (15/16) add on's: 10th in the West
    Will Barton
    Gallinari
    JJ Hickson
    Mike Miller

    (16-17): 9th in the West
    Wilson Chandler
    Mason Plumlee
    Roy Hibbert
    Johnny Bryant

    (17/18): 9th in the West
    Torrey Craig
    Devin Harris
    Richard Jefferson
    Trey Lyles
    Paul Millsap

    (18/19) 2nd in the West
    Isaiah Thomas
    Nick Young

    (19/20): 3rd in the West
    Jerami Grant

    (20/21):
    Aaron Gordon

How in the world do you see a team bringing in about 4 vets every year with a bunch
of them starting looks like this Rockets team with about 11 guys with less than
    2 years of experience?

Who is our Paul Millsap? Starting until the kids take over?
    Wilson Chandler?
    Gallinari?
    Devin Harris?
    Jerami Grant?
    Aaron Gordon?
    _____________________________________________________________

We have the baby brigade, but where are the vet equivalent equal to that of Denver year in
    and year out?

Denver had vets starting until the kids were somewhat ready.....
Houston is throwing these chicks out of the nest and they are going to get eaten.

Develop bad habits as a result

Every team drafts players and can say they built a core. Trading for Simmons doesn't change
that for the Rockets one iota. Just like it didn't change your idea of Denver building through
the draft i.e, adding Jerami Grant or Aaron Gordon recently.

Morey is caving; he was asking for a star player and 4 first round picks.

Morey wouldn't come down from 4 firsts right now unless he wanted to trade him now.

Morey would wait until January to come down in price if he was dealing Ben in Feb.

Good for Portland for saying good pound sand

    Wall + House + Garuba + 2 FRP, 2 SRP, 2 Pick Swaps for Simmons + Green + Korkmaz

    Thriller/Scoot/JC
    EGo/Armoni/Korkmaz
    Tate/DGreen/KJ
    Simmons/Theis/Nwaba
    Wood/Sengun

    Simmons is actually underrated now.

It would be nice to have a starter as physically powerful, fast, long, skilled and elite defensively as Simmons.
