who doesn't want to be magneto though? i'm still waiting for my superpowers. big let down so far, f'n pfizer.
Just giving you a hard time. I feel his last playoff series as a Rocket, CP3 spent too much time watching Harden with the rest of us. Didn't show up until that final game. Then had the nerve to criticize Harden for not doing enough. CP3 is one of the few players I wanted to shoot that sweet mid-range. For some reason CP3 choose not to shoot it more, until that final game? Shooting it now and helping the Sun's advance is a few years too little too late. As far as his health, I hope he is well. "First Take" mentioned it may be more of just a precaution because he went into the stands, after his last game, to visit with family.
With the at-risk population (elderly + infirm) now largely vaccinated, with a 31+ million sample size domestically that says that healthy people under 40 are at little risk of serious impact from COVID, with the summer months upon us, with low COVID stats across the country... it's absurd for Chris Paul to have to sit out UNLESS he is positive for COVID AND has symptoms. That's the data-driven (not media-driven) truth.
Did he test positive or was he just seen out with some people at a club or whatever? If it's the latter then I bet he doesn't miss any time.
This is stupid. I assumed that Paul wasn't vaccinated. IF he is vaccinated, why would he need to isolate at all? This isn't that hard. Everyone get vaccinated that wants to participate in the playoffs and let them play..... if the league is going to hold him out AND he is vaccinated, then the league is just stupid.
Reckon this will add some clarity to a lot of uncertainty about the efficacy rate, as well as the recovery rate if vaccinated, and the symptoms if vaccinated. Much of which most of us have cared very little about honestly.
yeah, that's what i was thinking... HOWEVER... even if it was a dumbass rule... IF that was the rule, it was the rule. Now, the confusing part is, didn't Lebron attend some event in the middle of the first round?
He seems to have caught it and recovered 4 times already. It's the the "father time" strain of covid.
#1: Chris Paul should of course have gotten vaccinated, if he doesn't have any underlying health conditions. #2: There is a non-negligible fraction of people with immune issues that are relatively common. These are very likely ok with the vaccine, but the uncertainties for people with these are higher than the general population. These include ailments like lupus, myocarditis, psoriasis, lyme disease, obesity-related inflammation, etc. Many chronic conditions are more common in African Americans and it's likely many NBA players know someone with such an issue. I'm more inclined to believe Chris Paul and Lebron are in the "I'm nervous because my family has a weird health history" camp than in the "vaccines are for fools" camp. Same goes for Anthony Rizzo. None of them have made anti-vax statements, except their own personal wariness. Or maybe Chris Paul is crazy. I don't think Cliff Paul is.
